Hey, my name is Leandra 👋

Here are a few cool things about me:

  • I spent 10+ years living and working in Tokyo.
Now based in sunny Los Angeles, CA.
  • I worked as a visual designer for Amazon and Rakuten
alongside amazing design leaders & teammates.
  • I’m currently an independent designer and social media
strategist, focusing on working with artists and helping startups.

My superpowers:

  • I’m a visual thinker with an artist’s eye and a strategic mind.
  • I love taking an idea that’s still finding its shape and helping it become something clear, expressive, and full of personality.
  • I’m naturally curious and a little detail obsessed. I like moving between the big picture and the small things, whether I’m shaping a brand, building a campaign, designing a visual identity, or figuring out what makes something feel just right.

“Case study”

Strategy + Video Content Production

Here’s how I created unique viral strategy for a local Buffalo Bills sports card trading startup with over 1,000,000 views in <60 days:

GameTimeXP brought me to help them find a way to connect their product (trading cards) with sports fans in a unique way.

My initial strategy was to meet fans where they already are: stadiums, tailgates, and major sporting events.

Instead of leading with the trading cards, I used short, funny, personality-driven interviews to build a media identity around fan culture. That format markets the cards without feeling like an ad, and because the interviews are quick and repeatable, a lean two-person team can scale it across games, events, and markets.

I created a series called “Is It Table Worthy?”

I wanted to create a repeatable format series to give us more shots on goal at going viral while being able to scale fast.

And since GameTimeXP has mostly been focusing on Buffalo Bills fans, I wanted an organic way to appeal to the local audience that was our target.

The 1–5 “broken tables” rating ties the series to a behavior unique to Bills Mafia, so the format feels native to the culture instead of imposed on it.

The interviews stay quick, unpredictable, and story-driven, each one working as entertainment on its own, while the rating gives every clip a simple payoff and a reason for fans to weigh in on who’s truly “table worthy.”

Connecting content back to the product

A key part of the strategy was making the content and product feed each other.

When an interview produced a particularly funny or memorable moment, we turned that moment into a custom GameTimeXP trading card and captured the fan’s reaction.

This transformed a viral social moment into a physical collectible and gave viewers a reason to understand what GameTimeXP actually does.

The content strategy has also helped create new sponsor conversations, collaboration opportunities with major sports brands and personalities, and inbound business leads, demonstrating how social content can function as both an audience-building and business-development channel.
